Paggia's Story
I have been married for 43 years to my dear husband Larry Evans from Ashland , Ky and we have 2 daughters Tracy and Kim , who have graduated from the University of Georgia and have families of their own. My husband is retired from the railroad and I am retired from the school system. I have been very active in my church with doing the weekly bulletin, teaching a Sunday School class, singing in the choir, singing solos, singing with groups, assistant treasure, on several boards and Director of the Women's Ministry Union (WMU). I have 6 grandchildren that I adore, 5 granddaughters and 1 grandson.. I try to attend their ballgames and other activities they have when I can. My hobbies include singing which I love , sewing, decorating, going to yard sales and the # 1 thing I love to do is shop ...Any time, any where, I am ready. I also love to work out in the yard. Have housekeepers to clean my house so I can spend time outside with my husband and I love it. Until it gets too hot down here in the south. almost reach the bottom in the deep end. It is 7 and one half feet deep I think but he could jump up and down without drowning. We get on our floats sometimes and just float along out there. It is relaxing. It is fun when our grandchildren comes over and swim. They have a ball. We lived in Indiana before we moved here. We lived in Merrillville.In. ( Northwest In.) only about 2 blocks from Gary In. where Michael Jackson grew up. We saw the house he used to live in. We lived up there for 3 years before we moved down here with the railroad. We left Ky in 1989 and now it is 2013. We have been gone 24 years from home. We have lost our parents since we left and I have lost all my aunts and uncles except one uncle out of 10. It seems so strange to come home now because both of our home places are gone but seeing our sibblings and close friends is worth it. As long as we are able we will try to make the trip when we can..
