Pam's Story

I think it was 1972. My husband, son and I were living on Williams Air Force Base in Arizona. My son was about 2 and my husband was a flight instructor on T-38's. I realized I was out of something I needed for dinner, so I grabbed my son and headed out for the Base Commissary (grocery store). When I opened the glass door to the dairy case I looked throught the glass and there was Jack Kuzanek!. Wow! Small world, eh? That night I told my husband about meeting Jack. t! We invited him over for dinner and I ran into him on the base several more times. Jack finished flight training, got his wings and ended up at Wurtsmith AFB in Michigan. Sadly, a few years later he died in a plane crash. Jack was a passenger. My husband thought he was an excellent pilot and we were both very sad when we learned what had happened to him. I have a photo of Jack and I "performing" in a school assembly at Thornridge. I was Sleeping Beauty and he was the Prince. Remember you fondly, Jack.
