Pam's Story
I was married for 29 years lived and worked in central NJ. We adopted a daughter from Korea at 6 months old, she's now going to be 29, lives and works in Phili. I worked for a Japanese Company in NJ as their Data Processing Manager for 25 years. We did the snow bird thing (6 months in FL and 6 months in NJ) for 2 years. After our daughter graduated from college, we decided to sell our home in NJ and move to Florida permananely. Phil loved to play golf. We built our dream house in Clermont, Florida and 4 years after moving in, Phil got pancreatic cancer and was gone within 4 mont...Expand for more
hs from diagnosis. I was totally devastated, to say the least. Thanks to my hospice support group, many long time friends from NJ, family and new friends I've made in florida, I survived. It was 2 years (april 2007) in april that he passed away.
I'm doing ok but it was quite a horrible journey. I now have a part time job in a college, couldn't stand staying home all day by myself. I do the treadmill, swim, paint one stroke, enjoy being with family and friends.
