Pam's Story
If anyone is in contact with my sister Tricia, please let her know that my mom is under hospice for lung cancer and would like to hear from her.
Life
Well, it seems that I am finally on the road to recovery.
I first went to the emergency room the Friday before Memorial Day and my doctor said I had been suffering from Pulmonary Edema. They got that under control with diuretics. This caused my blood pressure to go up, so a couple of weeks later they added a blood pressure medicine that gave me migraines on one side of the head. The doctor switched me to a medication called Lisinopril on June 22. My body did not like that medicine. I kept get more and more nauseated. I went to the doctor on July 13 and I was taken off the diuretic. I got a call from the doctor's office the next day and was told to discontinue taking the Lisinopril, and if I started to feel worse over the weekend, I was to go to the Emergency room

dney function at your level are on dialysis." So I was admitted to the hospital on the 16th of July. Less than 1/6 of my kidneys were functioning at that time. Thankfully, my kidney function improved daily and they released me on Friday, July 21, with my kidney function up to ½ and continuing to improve.
I have been visiting the doctor on a weekly basis since I got out of the hospital. Last weeks blood tests finally show that my kidneys are back in the normal number range (just barely by 2). Now the doctor is working on getting my body back to normal, (all this caused a potassium deficiency, folic acid deficiency and anemia).
Workplace
I have worked for Costco Wholesale for the last 19 years. I started out with The Price Company in San Diego in the accounting department.The Price Company and Costco Wholesale merged in 1994 and I transfered up to the Seattle area in 1995 and I am still in the accounting department. I would love to hear from some of my former coworkers and find out what they are doing now.
