Pamela's Story
Life
Currently living in Milwaukee, WI, on Lake Michigan. Returned to college to get a degree in Fine Arts and it seems I'll NEVER be finished. It has always been my passion, therefore obligated to myself to fulfill it no matter how old I am as I start my new career. I have two beautiful cats; Bro is 17 yrs old and Rocky is 3 and a half, they are my only children-so far. While in school I work in Fine restaurant service and mngmt, specializing in Northern Italian wine and cuisine. I really love my work and it fits my schedule beautifully. Milwaukee is nestled around the beaches of Lake Michigan, I live a couple blocks away so it's very convenient. I love look out over the water, at the sunset as it glitters over sailboats and yuahts, and the Milwaukee skyline. At night I listen to the long, sleepy sound of foghorns and faint whistles of the boats as they pass each other under starlit skies. Ok-------but I'm SICK and TIRED of snow and below zero temps, black ice piled high from the snowplows sweeping over the streets. My good shoes, gloves, hats and coats stained with white chalky salt residue (from the salt trucks dumping salt over the streets) for months, and months. I could go on, but like a photo never does justice to a beautiful ...Expand for more
sight, my rambling could never paint the picture in the proper light. Having said that, life is hard at times during the winter, so my boyfriend Aaron and I make sure to do all we can to make the cold exciting. We attend any and all live theatre and opera performances(a very big deal when season rolls around), we try to get to Chicago as much as possible since it's so close, for dinner at my fav. place, and the Art Institute of Chicago(another fav. place), friends, clubs, movies and popcorn at home, NO SNOW MEN/WOMEN (no sexism toward the snow people) 'cause it gets very OLD hang'n out in the cold!!! I miss Texas very much and I daydream much too often about going home. i'll have to edit misspellings at a later date.
School
My biggest crush was De Howell. I was "in love" with him then and will never forget him. My 9th grade journalism teacher inspired me the most. I would not do anything differently because given my circumstances at home I did the best I could, however I would have inquired more into college then if I'd have known then what I know now. I went to a private school all on my own with no family support and credits did not transfer. I am still in college, but I am very happy and working toward a masters in Fine Art.
