Pamela's Story

I have never attended any of our reunions, but have thought about all my friends I never kept in contact with through the years. I lived in the Corona and Riverside area most of my life, have also lived in Texas at one point and have had the opportunity to live in Hawaii for fourteen months with my youngest daugter and her husband...I never had the desire to live or even visit Hawaii, but that all changed once I got there and now would like to go back and live there someday or even visit again.. I have two children, nine grandchildren, and have eight Great-grandchildren. I raised five of the grandchildren. I have attended college and am working on an Associates in Drug and Alcohol Counseling for kids and teens. I love my life and am thankful for my family and the relationships I have found here at Classmates, old as well as new, the Lord has blessed me with. I look forward to hearing from any of you who would like to keep in touch with me now. Thank God for the Internet! Write soon! Pam Gebhart, Robinson I live in Hawaii and I like going to the beach or pool to relax. Update... I have moved back to Hesperia, California as of April 1, 2009 and am currently traveling between Texas, and Alabama until June 23rd, at which time I will go back to Cali...I am spending time with my sisters and one brother who I have not seen for several years...I have waited for two years and it was made possible now...I still like the beach and swimming in a pool... Jesus is my hero and He gave His life for me and others just like me!! John 3:16 The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Russell Cash, my oldest friend and he used to tease me at school in second grade and I would hit him with my lunchpail and he would just laugh and walk away..we went steady in junior high, and used to see each other around the High school and then we lost contact with each other for the last ""forty-three"" years until we found each other on Clas...Expand for more
smates and are now keeping in touch with each other....What a joy it has been to find each other and won't lose that contact anymore...we are good friends.... My children have taught me that in family you take out the "I" and put in the "We"... In 10 years, I hope to be a Drug and Alcohol Counselor. I'm going to get there by getting my degree done in the next two years and working with youth again. My first job was at Gary' Drive In in El Cerrito, where I got paid 90 cents an hour to wait tables. What I remember most about it is I met alot of nice people and I remember this one customer I had, he was in a wheelchair and was only 16 yrs old and he wouldn't come in with his friends..He saw me and his friend told me he wanted to talk to me. I went outside to talk to him and he had written a poem for me, I told him thank you and I eventually lost the poem and wished I still had it with me..He was a really sweet guy... A childhood memory would be playing in the rain with my brothers and sisters on a hot sultry day of rain. Those days of playing as a family are missed but still in my heart....And now I have built lots of beautiful memories with my own children and grand-children and now my great-grandchildren... The one thing I would do would be to finish High School before I ever got married..Kids today don't realize how fun High School is if they would just stop and think about it, but as time goes on there weren't many of us who did like school and more than likely feel the same way I do about it.... My oldest friend is Russ and he used to tease me at school in second grade and I would hit him with my lunchpail and he would just laugh and walk away..we liked each other after that...we laugh about it now. The thing I think would surprise anyone about me is how much I have changed over the years...I am very outgoing now and not so closed off....I like making new friends as well...I hope old friends will remember me in good ways...
