Pamela's Story

June the 28, will mark 3 years of marriage to Doc Johnson. Who saved my soul with his love and devotion. So I am no longer a McCoy. If the third time is the charm I am so excited that I get to spend the best years of life with Doc. He is the rock and foundation, that I wish was always there in my life. I am Thankful for his love . Last year was a trying time for me. I lost my only son Ryan. He was finishing up his 6th year at Tennessee Tech in Marketing. He got sick I will never know if was H1N1 . He had two heart attacks that took him. If you want to know more about surviving the death of your child, I will be there to listen. I do not like living in the past just learning from the mistakes is enough. So on the lighter side of things. I have travel from east to west coast. I lived in San Diego, Ca for 4yrs, I was a Navy wife. I lived three months in Memphis Tennessee. Then 9 yrs iin Big Stone Gap, Va.. In 1995 I move to St. Augustine Fl.. I have managed Apartments in California, Learn how to buff floors at Mt. Empire Community College. At Norton Community Hospital, I leaned Environmental Services. I Clean Machines for Tennessee Eastman Co in Flordia I opened the "World Golf Village" as the assist. head housekeeper and The "Casa Monica Hotel" as the head houisekeeper. Then in 2000 my nineteen year marrage to Mr. McCoy was coming to an end from his own demise. So I dusted the sand from my feet and and my brother Randy. came with his horse trailer and moved me back home to my Mom's, where I slowly recovered myself.. I work at Medview for awhile and then in 2002 I started working for A long term care facility in Kingsport as Environmental Services Director. I have been there for 8 years. I am an operation manager. I also teach fire and disiaster to new employees. On Fridays I have a sing along with the residents and karaoke is a big deal So if you want to try out your vocals come on in and visit us. I fell in love with a gutair player, song writter sometime in 2002. That the reason you do not rekindle old flame...Expand for more
s. They are not the person you once thought they were, In spite of that I stayed with him for five years until he past away. I helped him produce a CD at Maggards Studio in VA. That was an interesting Saturday. He left me the songs. "As long as the song survives, the memory lingers on." Eli 's voice echo's around me. So I end up with the gutair. Alvavez D26 yes it sounds like a Martin. When I think about unwinding, I think about an old blue chair my feet in the sand.cool water washing all my cares away and a glass of Ice tea, corona, bay breeze , white russian , and the wind blowing my hair in the setting sun. Ok I won't sail too far away. I wipped out in California from bouncing the waves needless to say the 25' footer wash me to shore. Along with my one piece swimsuit to my waist. I did not laugh then ,but now it 's a great story. I have learned to be a surviver , giver, lover, listener. and not to sweat the small things, but be grateful for every person's life , that I 've crossed. and I hope I was your friend. In school , I loved Drama Class and performing. I shoulld have been a singer. My family sorta supported that but did not understand or want me on the road. If American Idol was avail then I wonder how far..... If I had it to do all over again I would have taken Mrs. Streets advice and attended Va Intermont College for a Drama scholarship instead of getting married the first time. .It 's a great life, cause I never thought i would leave the mountains. It is always a good feeling to come home to friends and family. While living in Flordia I realized the best time of my life was running that stick through the creek at the back of the barn, .flippen stones Checking out the new pigget that was born , horse, cow or chichen, and , swinging on grapevines and Lynn View High School. was alot less stressful than the hazzel of make'n a living too far away from the mountains, friends and family. Now I live where cows surround me, which reminds me of applebutter, cornfields, good friends, and my family. Life is good today!!!
