Pamela's Story
I've been married for 29 years (my second marriage though) and have two daughters, Jennifer and Erica. We moved to the Central Valley in the 80's and I went back to college and became an elementary teacher. I taught 10 years at the first and second grade level. My mom died from uterine cancer almost nine years ago and shortly after we moved to Minnesota due to my husband's job transfer and there I taught fifth grade at middle school level. I loved it, but last June we moved once more back to Cali and now live in Folsom. I am back to substituting...Expand for more
for El Dorado County and hate it. This August my daughter Jen will get married in Las Vegas and later in May my husband and I are going to Hawaii for a few days of relaxation in the sun. It's funny that I've become a teacher since I was such a horrible student in school; always thinking that what I had to offer was stupid and worthless. I guess that's why teaching is my passion and why I don't feel whole when I'm not teaching. Life is good though. We are glad to be home where the weather isn't severe. I'd rather have earthquakes than tornadoes.
