Pamela's Story
Life
10 days after we graduated, I was shipped off to summer orientation at Rutgers in New Brunswick. I did well academically my 1st year, in spite of our "Tri'n High Ed-u-'mication". I majored in English and minored in Psych., but eventually passed on the Psych field. The psychology professors along with their theories on human behavior seemed a bit too weird and contradictory for my taste. In 1980 I met my husband at a free jazz concert held on campus. I was more of a parliment funkadelic kinda girl and I wasn't even into Jazz back then, but I went on a whim. It was fate. We were married 5 mths later. I inherited a beautiful son who was 6 years old at the time and we had another boy and a girl between us. My natural son passed away in April of 2003 in a car accident. He was only 22 years old. am certain that my son is with the Lord. My daughter is 25. She is tall and she's as gorgeous as any model on any runway. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a masters in Business Admin. and Bible. My hubby's the Head football coach at Willingboro High School & we're still going strong at 28 plus yrs of marriage. My family is active in ministry, I'm into writing, decorating and I absolutely love being a mommy and serving my family. I danced professionaly in my 30's with a West African Dance troupe out of philly for a time. I'm also a licensed realtor that invests in real estate. Life is life, so I won't complain and maybe in another 20 yrs or so, I'll finally admit to being old. As for now, I still feel like me only a bit wiser, a bit more patient, fuller figured and in spite of my tears over the loss of my preceious son, I'm still unquestionably, abundantly blessed.
