Pamela's Story
After high school, I joined an R&B band and sang around East TN. I also had a short solo career singing at a hotel on Cedar Bluff during happy hours, while the original songstress took time off with her newborn. After the guitar player almost killed us one night on the road, I became a waitress. While serving a group of lawyers and judges in the old city, I landed a job as a lawyer's secretary. I worked at AAA for 4 and 1/2 years, while during the last year - going through a 2 year class to earn a medical transcription ceritification in one year with a 3.86 gpa. I got married just before starting school. I worked in a doctor's office for a little over a year, when I had a car accident on the interstate. I started working for UT once I recovered for another 4 years. I got divorced and moved back to west knoxville to a little town house off cedar bluff. I worked at Nova on Chapman Hwy. and moved back in with my mom until I got my debts paid and bought a home near downtown. I had a crazy ex-boyfriend that couldn't understand that no means NO! cident, I met my fiance' and moved in with him. We fought in court for 5 years in Blount County to win custody of his daughter, Janna. After his crazy ex-wife claimed we had abused her, the courts started seeing that she was the one who had been lying and gave us custody a week before she would start kindergarten. We have been raising her ever since at his 35-acre farm. I used to be a party animal, but now party only during holidays. I used to think I couldn't have children, but now I have a healthy relationship with my now 8 year old daughter. I used to be able to do anything and everything physical, but now I am disabled with 2 brain tumors that no longer allow me to work or play for a very long period of time. Surgery is not an option. It is inevitable... just not now - not this year. Otherwise, I am happy to be alive and still be able to live a relatively normal existance... it could be worse!
If I' had to work somewhere, I would need to have a quiet room, with low light, and lots of drugs to be able to deal with the day-to-day. L.O.L. !!!!!!!!
