After graduation I left right away and moved to Northern California, to a small town called Susanville (a real small town, one where everyone knows your business), I had a gitlfriend up there and just wanted to get away. I had been accepted at Chico State & UC Davis, but they weren't affordable so I put my dreams of becomming a Veternarian on the back burner and attended Lassen College. I challenged Anatomy & Physiology, English passing both with a 97% and was able to enter the LVN program immediately without all the prerequis. I fell in love with the area. I could go 4-wheeling up in the mountains, there were 2 lakes nearby that I spent a great deal of time at. Lassen Nat'l Park is beautiful, that I volunteered to do a 4 week stint in a fire lookout tower. It was great, it was a time of great reflection,a time to write my poetry, dreams of the future, you saw noone except a rare hiker, which I think was 3 the whole time I was there. We had to check in every couple hours to give our stats and to make sure we were alive. It was a little eerie at night, thought, but I'm so glad I did it. I met a man with a couple young kids that I adored, but he became way to possesive and smothering, so after graduating from LVN school, and a couple bad happenings I moved to Reno, NV. I passed my boards and began working at Washoe Medical Center on the Urology/Kidney Dialysis Unit. I missed my love of hiking, camping and bird watching cuz in Susanville it was extremely convenient.
