I was born in San Antonio on August 31, 1954. At the age of 2 1/2, we moved to Chicago for about 5 years. I first attended kindergarten at Hanover Elementary School and first and second at Streamwood Elementary. We moved back to San Antonio when I started 3rd grade at Herman Hirsh Elementry School; then to Jeff Davis Middle School; then to Sam Houston High School. I attended SAC (San Antonio College) and Incarnate Word University. I majored in Psychology. I also wrote lots of poetry and had a poem published in The College Anthology of Poetry, and progressed from the quarterly publication to the Annual Antholgy. What an honor!
I worked at various places: Texas State Bank, Main Bank & Trust, SCM, Datapoint, UTHSCSA (University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio; 1st in Drug Information which was located in the Library of the Medical School, but part of The College of Pharmacy in Austin); then worked in Cardiology for several doctors and the Fellowship Program). I also worked at the Pharmacy at the Bexar County Hospital (now University Hospital). I then worked at the following places: Handy Dan Corporate Offices, Orah Wall Construction Company, and Dee Howard (working on the development of an airplane for a Sheik as a present for a Prince of Saudi Arabia). ve Secretary for Senior Vice President R. Douglas Leonhard, when we built Fiesta Texas and The Golf Course and Club at La Cantera. I then was loaned to County Judge Ciyndi Krier and Mayor Howard Peak on the City/County Commitee. Afterward, I returned to the main building working as a Executive Secretary in Facilitys and ITT. I have since retired.
I also have an amazing son, who is 30 now. He and his best friend are co-owners of 2 Line-X distributorships. He married this September 1911 to the beatiful and incomparable Amy Wilson from Boerne and Alamo Heights.
I like visits to cultural events and musical events. I like Country, Pop, and South American Jazz. I also like to read Historical Romance novels. I also like to play with clothing, cosmetics and jewelry. I have so much of all the above, that I have storage problems. (My apartment is only 900 sq.ft).
I also like to keep up with family and my favoriite friends. My mother is 88 now; and I have a sister in Victoria (she is married and has one son, having lost one daughter in a boating accident). I also lost one sister due to ovarian cancer and one brother due to heart attack.
On my mother's side, my cousins live in Chicago and Wisconsin. First of my cousins has 2 children. The second has 4 children and about 11 grandchildren. The third cousin in Chicago has 3 children. (the The cousins on my father's side number 4. One is a trucker, so he and his wife travel America (no children). One other lives in Garland (a suburb of Dallas)(2 children). One still lives in Waco (2 children). Another was lost due to Diabetes (2 children). I'm not sure of how many grandchildren on this side - I don't keep up with these cousins as much as I should.)
My core group of friends are mostly a small group that's been together since middle school. I also have a few male friends. All of my female friends are grannies.
I never married, letting "the one" slip by several times. I'm not currently dating anyone, but am open to "fix-ups." My phone number in San Antonio iis available upon request.".
