Pamela's Story
Life
Wow, 30+ yrs in 2000 characters. I am married and we currently have 8 children. We do foster/adoptive care and are open to more. My husband pastors a church outside Albany, NY. I am not working outside the home right now. We are trying to get 3 special needs children through school alive. It was decided that perhaps I should be a stay at home mom for a few years. I still sing, play the piano and write. Have lived outside of New York City, outside of Indianapolis, in New Haven CT, northshore Boston MA, in Providence RI and in Toledo OH. Have worked with the homeless, battered women, poverty self help programs and ecumenical church ministries. Have shared our home with...Expand for more
a political refugee from Lesotho, Africa; a homeless woman; a battered woman and her children as a safe shelter; and with many children. My husband is a Native American and AfroAmerican which is an interesting combination. His dad was the first generation born off of the tribal lands and his mom's family were free black business owners prior to the Civil War. I am still a Christian rebel who wants to fix the world. My children say the lotto would be wasted on me as I would simply build a bigger house and bring in more kids, I probably would, but then think of the joys to share in the hugs and kisses. My biggest goal at graduation was to be a good mom-i think i have met my goal.
