received a Master's Degree in Library Science. I've often said that I got a master's degree in survival. Worked as a school librarian in Leavenworth, KS for 3 years. Moved back to Jackson where I worked as a librarian for Jackson Public Schools for one year. Swore that I would never work for a school district again in which teachers were not protected by a union and collective bargaining. Met my 2nd husband there, and we moved to California. After working at the high school on Edwards Air Force Base for almost 8 years, I moved "down the hill" into Los Angeles where I worked as a teacher librarian and an art teacher for LAUSD, the 2nd largest school district in the country for 14 years. Along the way I divorced my 2nd husband. That master's degree in survival has come in very handy. Last June 23, I retired. Whoopie! Currently I'm taking care of my son Chris, setting up an art studio, meditating/contemplating, reading, and sometimes "spinning my wheels." Right now I'm reading a book entitled THE GEOGRAPHY OF HAPPINESS. I just completed a really interesting book called THE EVOLUTION OF GOD.".
