Pamela's Story
I've been married once and divorced once. I will never do either again.
I have three kids all of whom are officially adults in the eyes of the law. I know better.
One of my favorite things to do is home improvement projects. I'll spend a few weeks working up the courage to tackle a project that involves doing something I've never done before. I usually have success but sometimes I hit a snag. I'm lucky my father's close by to bail me out if I get in over my head.
I like to organize things. The only problem is I have to create some chaos so I can then create order.
I still haven't decided what I want to do when I grow up. I currently work at my brother's electrical contracting business. It keeps me busy, makes me feel important and pays the bills. Almost. I blame the economy on that and my kids who are slackers who don't pay their mother for the stuff they owe.
I guess I can spend money on un-necessary things, but don't we all? I don't "Live Large" even though it may look that way. I just find good bargains (Craigs...Expand for more
list is my best friend) and I'm not afraid to try to "Do It Myself".
In a perfect world I would work part time, spend a few hours in the day working around the house, and a few hours sitting on my butt reading a book or watching tv or DVD's.
I have the same zip code I had when I was in high school. I've lived within a 10 mile radius of Hampton High School my entire life.
I don't care, I like it here.
What's the purpose of my life on earth? I hope it was to raise productive, law abiding children. I hope it was to live a life that I can be proud to talk about. I don't need to be a hero. I don't need to be famous. I just need to be.
