Pamela's Story
I graduated from Hillsdale College in 1983 and spent a year studying at the Sorbonne in Paris. I started a teaching job in 1984 with children with autism and I've been doing this in one capacity or another for the last 25 years. I spent 3 years as a district Supervisor of Special Education, but decided I missed being in the classroom with the students. ioning Autism in grades 1 and 2. This is such a fun age and they are a great group of kids. I married John Hawes in 1987 and we have two daughters Erin, 20 and Brielle, 18. I just became an empty nester so am looking for some exciting new activities. John is a fulltime musician as the drummer in the best dance and party band on the NJ shore (Shorty Long and the Jersey Horns) and a co-owner in a music studio.
