Pamela's Story
Life
I have two wonderful children, a son and a daughter, and four awesome grandsons. I love my family, friends, my dog (Ginger), storms, car rides in the country, music, dancing, animals, children, nature, and TO LAUGH! I also love to travel (but I hate to pack), the beach, spur-of-the-moment adventures, to ride my bike, to walk, and movies of all kinds.
After graduation I attended Davenport Business College, and then moved to Chicago, taking a position with R.R. Donnelly and Sons. While there, I was accepted at TWA as a Flight Attendant Candidate; but, as fate would have it, I moved back to Grand Rapids, took a secretarial job, and married my boss. WHAT WAS I THINKING??? My husband and I divorced after 21 years of marriage. I remarried four and a half years later; and, after 12 years of marriage, I was on-my-own once again ... tough duty.
I moved to Corpus Christi,Texas to live with my daughter and her family from 2001 to 2004. Her husband was stationed there as the senior medical doctor on base. His tour of duty ended in September, 2004 and we moved back to Michigan.
While living in Texas, I was involved with marine life rehabilitation at the University of Texas Marine Science Institute in Port Aransas, where I tended to a rescued, baby, Spinner Dolphin named Harley. I also had a pet sitting business, and substituted for the Corpus Christi School System.
I continued my pet sitting business here in Michigan, and worked for the school system in our town. I also volunteer for the Grass River Natural Area.
I have remarried to a long-time, family friend. I manage to stay very busy with my pet sitting, my family, and friends. My journey continues ...
