Pamela's Story
Life
I grew up in Prineville. My grandparents Arch and Manilla Jones had the "Prineville Exchange", a second-hand store, across from the old Scotty's Grocery on N. Main St. My dad, Archie Jones Jr., owned the Richfield Station across from the Crook County Courthouse and also owned The Casino, a bar on the east end of town. I had lots of fun growing up in Prineville. I lived across the street from the Fairgrounds, rode horses a lot and went to lots of rodeos. I left Prineville in 1959 to move to Alaska when Alaska became a state. My mother married Orvail Buckner from Lone Pine when we arrived in Anch...Expand for more
orage. We moved back to Oregon 6 months later and I finished school in Redmond. I am married to my high school sweetheart, Mike Roach, and live in Lake Oswego. We own a major commercial construction company in Oregon and Washington. We have 2 children and 4 wonderful grandchildren. My older sister Wanda lives in the Portland area; and, sister Joanne (the wild one) died in 1997. My brother Ron lives the fun life in Hawaii; my brother Robert Buckner lives in Central Oregon and my youngest brother Kyle Buckner lives the life of a nomad. Hope to see our old high school classmates at a reunion in 2005!
