Pamela's Story
Life
has been interesting. I have enjoyed most of it. The last two years have been hard. My husband, John Wise, passed away in February 2006. He was the love of my life and brought a lot of joy to all who knew him. We married in 1974. We have six children, three boys and three girls. We also have 16 grandchildren with another due in May 2008.
I lived in Utah for 14 years after graduating from high school. Then I came back to Washington.
I have had the chance to travel quite a bit. I have been to several different places here in the US but my favorite is Alaska. It is beautiful country. I have also been to Mexico, Canada and Paris, France.
College

ing in Mathematics with a Secondary Education and Computer Programming and Statistics Minor. I had met my husband in September of my freshman year but did not marry until I had started my senior year. (He had gone to France and Switzerland for two years serving a mission for our church.) We then had six children in seven years and in 1985 I went back to school at BYU to finish my degree in Elementary Education. I graduated in May 1987.
Workplace
I went from bookkeeping at a tire store and picking fruit out on the orchards to teaching first grade. I have been teaching in Evergreen School District in Vancouver, Washington for 20 years and love it still. The stories I can tell about the funny things children do and say. It keeps me young and busy.
