Pamela's Story
Hi, all:
This is Pam Roth of the Class of 1965, George Washington HS in NE Philladelphia. To help remember me, I played Jeannie MacLaren, one of the Principal roles in "Brigadoon" during Senior Year, Spring, '65. I was active in the Drama and Dance Clubs, Future Teachers of America, and numerous other activities. My best friends were Serena Auspitz and Sharon Mandeloff. The 3 of us were inseparable throughout our high school years. We reconnected a few years ago.
After HS, I attended Temple Ubiversity School of Communications and Theater as a Theater major but always remained
actively involved in Dance. I studied with The PA. Ballet Company and worked as Assistant to the School Registrar as
well as Assistant to the Wardrobe Mistress. With my background in Theater and Dance, I moved back to NYC to pursue a Master's Degree in Dance Therapy. I am now a Licensed Creative Arts Therapist in NYS. I also have a Post-Graduate ...Expand for more
Certificate in Community Health Education for Geriatric populations.
In addition, I was a member of Dancers' Theater Studio Foundation, an Actors' Equity Showcase Company in NYC, for 10 years until the death of the company's Founder and Director.
I have one very talented and beautiful daughter who is a Music Teacher in PA. near Philly. She has continued the family interest in the arts as a singer, dancer, and actress, performing with several Community Theater Companys in the Philly area. She is also married to a wonderful man.
I, too, am married and will soon be celebrating our 32nd Wedding Anniversary. My husband is currently employed but looking forward to retirement within the next few years and plans to do a lot of traveling. Hopefully, I will accompany him.
I currently reside in the Hudson Valley of NYS. Currently I am semi-retired but stay involved in the arts whenever possible. I can also be found on Facebook.
