Dion's Story
Life
After jerking around in college (several of them), and landing mediocre jobs, I finally got serious in 1996 and went after my RN, which I finally obtained. I met my wonderful wife in one of the hospitals we worked in together (she's also an RN), and all the blah-blah-blah happened. We have a beautiful home in Upland, close to my parents, and we have two beautiful children, Keoni Daniel (4) and Diane Gaile (2).
I still keep in touch with Jaime Ramirez, Joe Almazan, Robert (Bob) Hale, and Kevin Cryan (for those who knew us), and they're doing great as well.
I still love cars and almost all types of motorsport (F1, Touring cars, Prototypes, WRC, MotoGP)...Expand for more
but don't really follow NASCAR unless they're on a road course.
Workplace
I've had odd jobs here and there, in and out of the medical field since 1989, but I've been working at a Kaiser facility in the LA area since late 1998. I thought I was going to be an MD, but after jerking around in several schools for a long, long time, and doing horribly, I got serious and went after my LVN in the mid-nineties. I realized I enjoyed nursing so much that I completed my RN shortly afterwards.
I currently work in SDU and CCU, although I've worked in ED/ER and Medical/Surgical/Tele as well. I enjoy helping complete strangers get better, it's truly a rewarding career.
