Pat's Story

Life I still live in Mobile. I changed my name after graduating to Patrick J Baker Jr. I was adopted by my stepfather(Pridgen) when I was young. Got married in 1989 to Dana Gardner. Patrick J. Baker III was born on 10/13/1993. My neice Maggie was born 6/30/95. She was my sister's only child and we have raised her as our own since she was a baby. My sister passed away in December of 2005. Briana Lane Michelle Baker was born 11/06/1996. I am a self employed tax preparer and so is my wife Dana. I have a very stressful life, but love my wife and children dearly. No regrets, but I do miss my friends from school. My son is in middle school now and becoming a Band Geek like his Dad. He is in the 6th Grade and can already play my Alto, Soprano, Baritone Sax, Soprano Clarinet, and we are working on flute together. My girls are 3...Expand for more
rd and 5th grade and are learning the Sax already as well. Makes for a fun and loud time around the house. Update 6/30/06: Went to Jazz Camp at University Of South Alabama with my son Joey and we both played sax all week. More fun than I have had in a long time. Father/Son combo I highly recommend it to all you old band geeks with children. Went to Tallahassee for FSU summer Band Camp. Joey was 1st chair Alto. 10/2/07: The kids are growing up too fast. My son is almost 14 and already as tall as I am with no sign of slowing down. He is an 8th grader and is getting better every day on the sax. Maggie is a 7th grader and plays Clarinet. My youngest, Briana, is a terriffic softball player and is planning to play Saxophone next year. My wife and I celebrated 18 years last June and the future looks brighter every day.
