Pat's Story
Life
I graduated from Milwaukie HIgh School in 1957. After 3 years I married my high school sweetheart Ron Lennard in 1960. We were married for 9 years. It was marriage of highs and lows - as so many young marriages were. We were young and even though we were in love we did grow apart. After 9 year of marriage we divorced.
I went on to be a stockbroker and then went into real estate which was my career for the rest of my life. I rose to the top of my profession at D. B. Bowen & Associates in San Diefo to Excecutive Vice President. I was in charge of sales and condo conversions - which was controversial at that time. I engjoyed my work for 7 years. During that time I spent many happy times touring Europe - visiting France, Italy, Germany, Great Briton and the then communist republic of Checksolvic.. here for 3 years and was manager of a top residential real estate firm. Richard got an offer of a job in California and we lived there for about 3 years and I worked in residential real estate sales. When the company that Richard worked for went bust we moved back to Connecticut - which I loved!. Anyway, we lived there for the rest of Richard's life. It was a good time and I thougt it would last forever. However, Richard was diagnosed with cancer and died in a very short time.
I moved back to Portland after he dies and I am so happy I did. I have contacted many of my friends from HIgh School and have had many happy times since - being with my friends and family - my mother who is 94 years of age! My sister Donna and brother Burt and his wife Danna - also my friend and a 1957 graduate.
I woud like to contact other friends of mine from high school and hope to do so at our class resunion in 2007 or sooner.
