Pat's Story
Life
Currently separated with 3 children, I previously attended MCP Hahnemann University and rec'd a degree in Biomedical Science. After, I attended Drexel (formerly MCP Hahnemann) Medical School, but decided that in the long run, the stress one endures during this endeavor does not meet the benefits of becoming a practicing MD. Instead, I decided to pursue a different branch of healthcare. I worked as a Personal Trainer for Bally Total Fitness and now am the Fitness Director for Bally Total Fitness in Langhorne, PA (across from Oxford Valley Mall). In the smally amount of free time I have, I spend fun hours with my children as well as read (everything!).
School
While there's alot I would probably do differently, I don't believe in looking back on life and saying "what if." I think it's always best to just move forward and live each day without regrets.
Workplace
After high school, I worked as a typist, then word processor, in both an insurance company and a law firm....Expand for more
I was then a stay at home mom for about 2 years before going into real estate, followed by the mortage industry. While working for a mortgage company, I took on more of a managerial position, running a department of about 15 employees. I then decided that the office/business atmosphere did not suit me and also that I wanted to be home with my children at that time. After completing my Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Science, I applied and was accepted into medical school. I attended medical school for two years before deciding it was not the right choice for me. Since I still wanted to stay within the healthcare field, I decided to learn more about exercise and exercise physiology. While doing this, I started working for Bally Total Fitness as a Personal Trainer in New Jersey. After working as a Personal Trainer, as well as a Group Exercise (Aerobics) Manager/Instructor, I finally decided to accept a position as the Fitness Director at Bally Total Fitness in Langhorne, PA.
