Pat's Story
I married the end of June my junior year, 1973. I actually graduated from Rochester High School but the RHS in my heart was Roseville High School. After all, I grew up in Roseville and went to school with my Roseville classmates from K- 11.
I had my first son, Michael, (12-22-1976) and a second son, Ryan, (5-31-1979). Immediately following Ryan's birth I filed for a divorce. I met my current husband Jim a few months later and we married the following year, (10-18-1980). We had our first daughter, Erica, (4-28-1982) the same year Jim adopted my boys. We had our youngest daughter, Tonya, (5-7-1983) and our family was complete:)
Jim & I were very involved with our kids throughout their childhood and rarely had a dull moment. Our son, Ryan, was a "special" needs child from infancy. Ryan was diagnosed as ADHD at 18 months. endless battle! His whole life he suffered from severe mood swings and suicide ideation. As an adult Ryan fell victim to the "systems." Sadly he lost his battle November 1, 2006. Please visit his web page at ryan-boyer.memory-of.com/About.aspx
Currently: Jim & I live in Sterling Heights were we raised our family. In 2005 for our 25th anniversary we renewed our wedding vows in a Hawaiian Sunrise Ceremony. Michael married Rhiannon (2-15-2008) and lives in Dryden. No children yet but plan on starting a family in the near future. Ryan left behind a beautiful daughter, Preshiss, (7-5-2004). We went through the court to be granted grandparenting rights:) Erica lives in Macomb Twp. and received her Masters May 30, 2009. Tonya married Jeff (5-14-2005) and lives in Macomb Twp. They are the proud parents of Jeffery Jr. (2-28-2006) and Jordan Rose (5-25-2008). We look forward to more grandchildren in the future . . . being a grandparent is GREAT:)
