Pat's Story
Ok...40 years in a few paragraphs!! Graduated, got married, moved to San Diego, worked and went to college, had 2 children (boys), moved to Sacramento, moved to Placentia, got divorced, moved back to Sacramento, finished college degree while working and being a single mom. Eventually remarried (Lou Hickok) , moved to Alabama (worked for Aerojet and we were transferred to jobs in Mississippi!). The boys were going into Senior and Freshman years of high school (ouch!). From California to Alabama - hmmm. Lou's son and daughter stayed in Sacramento (Folsom). Heather has our only grandchildren (Andrew and Charlotte) but we don't get to see them nearly enough!
But, things worked out well. Boys graduated from Auburn University, Steven went to law school at Georgetown University, Dan got an MBA from Loyola Marymount. Both still live in the south! We moved from Alabama to Tennessee, then to Palmdale, CA, where I worked for Lockheed Martin Skunk Works, then to Northville, MI and are ...Expand for more
now back in TN. Lou works for Jacobs Engineering and we were excited when they asked Lou to go to England to help start a new line of business with the MOD and last year we spent 9 months living in England - what a wonderful experience that was! We traveled everywhere! I missed our 40th reunion because we were in England.
Love Tennessee and plan to retire in Franklin, TN in a few years. I love walking, aerobics and YOGA! Finished my first 1/2 marathon last year (walking of course). I love quilting, scrapbooking and stained glass. My mom just passed away a few months ago, she had been with us for the past 12 years. Still love Tucson, but doubt that is part of our future plans. I love that I have renewed several of my high school friendships over the years and look forward to our next reunion to renew a few more! I HATE that we are all getting old enough now that our memories aren't as good as they used to be and that illness and death has affected so many of our classmates.
