Pat's Story
Life
After graduating from Hendrix College, I worked in Little Rock for a few years as a Systems Engineering manager at a computer reseller. During 1989 and 1990, I was in the Soviet Union as co-owner of a US-Soviet joint venture. From Little Rock I went to Dallas, then San Antonio, then Des Moines, where I started working for 3Com Corporation. 3Com moved me to Chicago in 1998. I served in various capacities at 3Com, where I rose to the position of Vice President of Technology. In 2005, 3Com moved us to Boston. We spent 6 months there, decided Boston wasn't for us, and then moved back to our house in Chicago. I left 3Com in November 2007 and I'm now VP of Global Sales for Ventureforth, a software company in Atlanta. During the past few years I've traveled to m...Expand for more
ore than 30 countries and racked up more than 3 million air miles. I received my MBA from Northern Illinois University, have been married to Teresa for 18 years, and have a wonderful 16 year old son, Michael, who is a senior boarding student at St. Andrews-Sewanee School in Tennessee.
College
I couldn't wait to get out of Arkansas, so I started at Austin College in Sherman, TX, in fall of 1984. After a couple of years of living in the monastery (aka "Baker Hall"), I transferred to Hendrix College in Conway, AR, home of the Goat Roast. Lots of fond memories from Hendrix... paper-thin walls at East Hall, trudging across the bridge to class, Lowell "No Bro" Furman, progressive drinking parties, Beans-n-Brew Blowout, etc. Oh, yeah... Got a pretty good education also.
