Pat Whiteside:  

I'm a single parent here in San Jose, I love the weather here, so I never left after graduating from SJSU. I have (3) daughters, 39, 31, 23, a 16 year old grand daughter, a 4 year old grand daughter and 3 year old grandson. I own a home in the Willow Glen neighborhood of San Jose, and built a 500 square foot guest home at the rear of the property. My middle daughter and her husband moved into the guest house so they could save money for their own place and recently moved to Washington State. Now my youngest daughter works at Starbucks and has moved into the guest house. While attending SJSU in 1976, I designed the corporate logo for the 4th TOGO'S Eatery sandwich shop to open and carved the TOGO'S redwood signs for each new store. In 1977, I was accepted into the Marine Corps Officers Flight School, but it was discovered that I had a slight depth perception difference between my left and right eyes, so back to civilian life. Graduated with honors from SJSU 1978, Aeronautical Operations Major, Business Minor. Completed some graduate courses at Harvard University in 2000. Shortly after graduating from SJSU, I went to work for TOGO'S Corporate as a Construction Manager and worked my way up to Vice President of the Corporation.
