I entered the High School of Commerce in 1959 from Durfee Middle School despite the objections that no one wanted a black secretary. Remembers our very strict Principal, Augusta Ochs. 1963. Went to the United States postal Service in 1964 where I worked as a mail handler, postal clerk, tool and parts clerk, clerk/stenographer, procurement, property and supply assistant, and Supervisor, of Procurement and Office Services. Retired in 1992. I have three generations of children. I now reside in Millen GA as an organic farmer.
