PATRICIA's Story

2015-July * Had fun reading my old posts ... how life does move by quickly ... WOW! * Looking forward to the class reunion in August. Will be fun to see the old familiar faces. * Still single (except for being married to Christ Jesus) and content with that decision. Should have chosen that walk MANY MANY years ago. LOL! * Very busy with church activities, hanging with family and friends, waiting upon the Lord's return. * No more politics ... burned out after 2014. * Still selling H-D t-shirts and accessories, but not on eBay. * My dog Nicholas is pushing 7 years old (pomeranian), and is the greatest companion. He is now my service dog (ESA) and goes everywhere with me. * My birdie died suddenly and has left a hole in my heart. (lovebird) * My son Scott (31) has been living with me since October 2013. Been interesting, difficult and sometimes fun having him around. * A friend found herself allergic to her own dog ... ZoeZoe ... and asked me to go with her to put Zoe to sleep. I prayed about it and the Lord said I should care for the dog. Zoe is a French bulldog, who wears diapers (incontinent) and when I took her in could not walk. She has a degenerate spinal issue. After a few weeks with me she was starting to walk, can run while wearing her 'chariot wheels' and is enjoying her life. She has such a zest for life and is inspiring to everyone who meets her. *Well, that's pretty much it in a nutshell. 2009-November Wow. Just back from my TRIP OF A LIFETIME! Was supposed to be a big 5-0 for my friend Shari and ended up being a pilgrimage to the Holyland. God works in mysterious ways. Trip started off to be a dozen couples celebrating her birthday and ended up on my own, knowing one couple, and it was over my birthday! 3 Days in Rome, Italy, experiencing the Colosseum, the ruins everywhere you look and the fantastic statues; then board a fantastic cruise ship called the Celebrity Equinox for 13 days touring the Ancient Cities. 1st stop, Greece, Athens and the next day Rhodes. Unbelievable to be standing in these places that we learned about, studied and have seen photos of all of our lives. Turkey, visited Ephesus, the place Paul preached and up on the hill where legend has it Mother Mary spent her last years. Beautiful, fantastic really and Turkey was a huge excellent surprise. Clean with very nice people. Next was Israel. 1 day at port in Haifa, visiting Nazareth (church of the Annunciation) and lunch on the Galilee. 2nd day, port of Ashod, visiting Bethlehem (inside the walls of the Palestinian people-scarey)highlighted by the church of the Nativity, then Je...Expand for more
rusalem including Gethsemane, Davids tomb, Last Supper room and GUNFIRE. Awesome. Moving. Egypt! Alexandria, Giza pyramids & sphynx, and the Cairo museum with the mummies and all of King Tut's treasure. Lastly Naples and the Amalfi Coast, then back to Rome for one more day to check out the Vatican, Pantheon, Trevi Fountain. Blessing upon blessing, except that the only single man on the ship was wearing pink (no not gay) and had clammy hands, so no love connection (as usual). Glad to be back home in the good ole USA, but thrilled to have experienced some of the world. -------------------------------------- 2009-March Becoming more joyful and enjoying my new opportunity for getting closer to GOD, family and reconnecting with old friends. Best of ALL, got a new man in my life. His name is NICHOLAS. He is a miniature Pomeranian born on Christmas day 2008. The new love of my life! Between he and Birdie, there is no time to be sad or fearful. Just love on my little sweeties and give the rest to God. (Be ready, the Lord is coming back shortly and you don't want to be left behind.) -------------------------------------- 2009-Jan How things change. Newly separated from Big Red. Really sad. Married almost 20 years, but just can not do it anymore. When respect is gone there is no relationship. Crazy starting over again at my age, but even being alone is better than being unhappy. My kid, Scott, just turned 25 this month. He's doing better; still living with my Mother. Takes a lot of the stress off when he has his life under control. We took a trip to Texas to see his Step-Brother in December and had a fantastic time. Great to see him connecting with someone. Mom is good. Misses Dad (died 2007-July) but Scott keeps her on her toes! LOL Still selling Harley-Davidson t-shirts, boots and accessories on eBay. Check out my store at ebaystores/hogwild4u by mrsredd1 Making a living, but this economy sucks. ------------------------------------- 2008 Life Things are good ...! I'm not wealthy, in the physical sense, but emotionally and spiritually, things are generally good! Been married 18 years to a good guy). My son Scott is 24 now and still alive and kickin'! (Put me through some hell the last 10 years but that's the job of todays' children). I'm having fun selling stuff on eBay and not having to go to a regular old job anymore. Check out my website: hogwild4u.com , then drop me a line and say hello! Still working out at the gym, biking and hiking when I can and snow skiing every chance I get. Looking forward to seeing everyone at the next reunion. The last three we went to were a lot of fun! HOPE 2 C U there! :)Patricia
