Patricia's Story
Pat has been a professional folklorist, writer, editor, and educator for 40+ years. She did graduate work in Folklore & Mythology studies at UCLA, University of Edinburgh, Scotland, and University of Glamorgan, Wales, as well as a certificate in Arts Management from the Arts Extension Service at UMASS-Amherst. She has lived in Scotland, Massachusetts, Tennessee, and most recently in Carson City, Nevada.

ouncil, Department of Tourism and Cultural Affairs, State of Nevada for 8 years.
Pat is divorced and has one son, David Atkinson Wells, who is currently on the music faculty of Sacramento State University. Dr. Wells has degrees in bassoon performance and music history and loves to play gypsy jazz in the Django Reinhardt style with the Hot Club Faux Gitane.
Pat still loves to sail and to travel and is working on getting back into singing, playing the guitar, and dancing.
