Patricia's Story
Life
I have been retired from General Motors since 1992. My husband and I loved to travel and we have been all over the world. We only stopped traveling when his health became an issue. I have a place in Orange Beach, Alabama that I stay for 6 months during the winter. I recently became a widow, as my husband Leigh passed away in February.
Update: My husband Leigh passed away in 2007. I am very active and if you want to catch me it's usually on my cell phone...as I'm only home when nothing else is going on. I enjoy music...my son downloaded over 1,000 songs on my IPOD for me. I prefer country, jazz and soft rock. I love to golf, bowl, play Euchre, Pinocle and penny ante Poker. I also enjoy reading...always have a book going...knitting, cross...Expand for more
stitch, going to movies, travel and basically anything that's fun to do. When I'm in Alabama I publish the newsletter for the Michigan Club...and I'm also their Publicity Director. I have made a lot of friends in "Bama", and never lack for things to do. (my house is only 1 1/2 hours from Biloxi, MS...my friends are casino nuts...and I tag along about every 4th time...I'm a social gambler. (is there such a thing?)...I go just to get out and have fun.)
I have 2 sons...oldest son lives in Arizona with his wife (no children)...my number 2 son, lives in Clarkston about 2 miles from me. He is divorced and has 2 children...ages 20 and 16.
I try to live each day to the fullest...and as Garth Brooks would say...I'm too young to be this damn old!
