Patricia's Story
This picture was taken at my Christmas party last Monday (Dec. 21, 2009), that is my uncle in the picure with me, he is just seven years older than me (I am 76).
I had a wonderful experience at Crescent Heights, loved to dance and was very involved in Sat Teen and was on the radio show we used to do, once I even got to interview Louis Armstrong when he was in Calgary although the recording was so bad we couldn't use it on the radio show.
After Crescent Heights I moved back to Peace River where my family lived (my father was Ged Baldwin, who was the MP for Peace River starting in 1958 and eventually became the House Leader under Stanfield). I married a boy from Peace River and moved to Edmonton, with whom I had 2 children before...Expand for more
our divorce. I became active in politics myself (I was YPC president for Edmonton) and then married the YPC president for western Canada, Doug Leatherdale, from Winnipeg where we lived for several years.
We moved to Minneapolis in 1970 where Doug became a prominent business executive and I became a competitive dressage rider (an equestrian sport) and competed around the country and managed our stable of 12 horses.
Doug and I divorced after 20 years of marriage and I lived in southern California until 3 years ago when I moved to Lake Chapala, Mexico, an expat community of Canadians and Americans.
I hope to hear from anyone who might remember me from Crescent Heights or Sat Teen or who would just like to talk and compare notes.
