Pat's Story
The year 1963 was a sad time as I graduated from Lincoln Park High School. Friends scattered into different cities and colleges and I'm sure that this made everyone take a step into the "real world" and boy was that a shock. We were responsible for our own actions and family/friends were not 2 blocks away to protect us. I attended Eastern Michigan University and during this time I walked into Employee Relations at Ford Motor Company and said "I want to work here" and 16 years later I retired. Was that brave or stupid of me to do that...it was both! During that time I married and had an awesome son, Sean. I'm now married to Bob Turner and together we have 4 sons, 7 grandchildr...Expand for more
en, 3 great grandchildren and 3 dogs.
Quilting, painting, water aerobics, scrap booking, Red Hats, computers and volunteering at Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital Gift Shop keep me busy and out of trouble. But I've decided that I really want to live on the beach by the ocean--a beach bum future rocks!
To all those who are wondering, yes, Lincoln Park is still the same. I've vacationed with relatives and friends in many states, but always returned home to Lincoln Park/Allen Park.
Until August 17, 2013 remember that.......
Life is short, Break the rules, Forgive quickly, Kiss slowly, Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably, And never regret anything that made you smile.
