Life
Hello old friends, you will remember me as Pat Hamby but I prefer Patty. I still live in Southern California and (despite being very homesick for Illinois at first) I love it. I live inland from Laguna Beach. The weather is usually awesome. The traffic??? Don't ask. My youngest daughter (I have three with only one still at home) and I spent a few days in Chicago last spring. I tried to take her to all the great museums we grew up with. nto a very short space of time. I know that cab drivers need to make a living but... we learned many interesting variations on the route back to our hotel. My daughter felt most passionate about The Institute of Art and the Magnificent Mile. The rest? A blur. Seriously! Anyway... it felt good to be home again. Did anything change? Yeah! Jake and Elwood are at Midway... I have worked in early childhood education for 20 plus years. I currently teach in a 3 year old classroom at a private preschool.
