Patricia's Story

Life Hey, my fellow Holy Children and IC survivors! I'm not certain that my bio would be very interesting but I'll jot down a few things anyway. So, here I am at 50 and loving it all. I think that my 40's was the best decade of my life. I can't wait to see what my 50's bring! I work at Hewitt Associates and love my job, have a twenty-one year-old daughter at Reed College in Oregon, I own a house in Lake Bluff and am in a great relationship with the most wonderful, thoughtful woman there is. (Huh?! What about Jeff and Johnny and all those guys she was so crazy about? Well, sometimes it takes us a while to figure out who we are, no?) When I'm not at work, I spend my time writing and my dream is to be a published author. I love all things Celtic and try to hit...Expand for more
every Irish fest and concert that comes around. I was lucky enough to go to Ireland in 1999 and can't wait to go back. I'm a member of Friends of Faire (Bristol Renaissance Faire), GALAA (Gay And Lesbian Associates & Allies) at work, and just joined the Diversity Choir. Since buying my house in 2003, I've come to love gardening, yard work and, thanks to my partner's interest, bird watching, learning how to attract various birds to my yard. My daughter is a self-proclaimed geek whose favorite class is multivariable calculus (she sure didn't get it from me, as Sisters Adrienne and Donald Mary would surely attest to!). The only credit I can take as far as she's concerned is for her dry, sarcastic sense of humor. She's a great kid and is my joy. Life is good.
