Patricia's Story
I graduated in 1966. If you remember me at all, you would probably remember me as the shy wall-flower type. I carried my Bible to school every day, back then it was important for me to
show my faith. Today it is important for me to live my faith. Yes, there is a difference.
I married Michael Flemming in 1966, (also graduated with us) divorced in 1969, and remarried him in 1970. Our son was born in Bangkok Thailand almost 1 year later. Michael was in the service, we lived in New Jersey, Georgia, California, Thailand, Korea and Maryland. We divorced again in 1977. We never did learn how to fight, we remarried again in 1980. with no one else in between, but that was us. I think we finally grew up and realized we were better together than apart. In October 2010 Michael died of Kidney Cancer, I miss him terribly, but it is getting easier..
Our son has blessed us with 2 beautiful grandchildren a girl 11 and a boy 8. He started later than we did, and I sure am glad, they are great kids and he and his wife make great parents.
I finally retired in April 2017. I love it. I moved to Spring Lake so I be close to my son and his family. It is so much fun. I am strongly involved in my Church The First Baptist Church of Spring Lake. and Operation Christmas Child through Samaritans Purse. I love work for the Glory of God.
