Our first grandchild, Alanna Lynn, was born on December 16, 2008. I retired from the City of Gilroy in August 2009. I worked at the City for over 20 years in the Community Development Department, and specifically in the Engineering Division as a Financial Analyst for over nine years. My husband also retired as Batallion Chief in August 2009 from the Gilroy Fire Dept where he was employed for over 28 years. After spending all my life in Gilroy, in 2006 we sold our house and purchased a home on an acre in the country by Hollister in the Four Corners area out by Dunnville. If I could improve my home, I'd remodel our backyard, add a hot tub, and would redesign the yard. My dream home would be to have my present house located on the coast somewhere. We became grandparents for the first time on December 16, 2008 when our daughter gave birth to her daughter Alanna Lynn.
