Patricia's Story
Life
St. Patrick's Day, 2003 marked a very special occasion in my life. I married a wonderful man, Gregory Fields (Chicago, IL) and moved further north in PA. My new extended family includes a step-daughter, Erin, 20 and four other grown children from Greg's first wife. Life is very good. my other four children include: Ellen 30, son-in-law, Oliver 32, Sara 28, Karl 25 and Michael 23. Ellen and Oliver blessed us with a beautiful baby girl in April of 2003, Olivia Desiree. Mom and Dad still live in New Jersey (Whiting, near Toms River). I work for a major managed health care company based in Bethesda, MD as a Senior Business Analyst. Have become a real country girl. Would love to hear from my old friends....UPDATE Greg and I are now expecting another trove of kids, 4 grand children and a great grand son over the next several months. That's added to the 18 grandkids and 1 great grandchild already. The family just keeps growing and growing.
School
High School....hmmm....Expand for more
Would do it again. Would change one or two things. Miss my friends, scouting, driving all over.
College
After HS, I left for a year and attended Knox College (that's where Mr. C. Raffey went during summers). It was different. Decided to take a year off an went to CCMC for a while. Got married. Didn't get a degree but am now certified by the Academy of Healthcare Management as a Professional (PAHM). Have obtained other certifications including MHP and HIA (All are healthcare insurance related). Am now studying for my Fellowship designation with AHM.
Workplace
Spent most of my grown years raising four kids, German Shepherds and a house full of my kids friends. Pretty much was the Kool Aid mom and just about everyone ended up on our front porch. When I did go back to work, it was for a sister company of H.L. Greens (my first job). I then started in a healthcare ins co as a clerk, and in nine years, am now a senior business analyst in our IS Department. Love my job.
