Patricia's Story
After graduation I worked in a two-man law office in Dover, NJ. Moved to Newark, DE in 1967 and worked as a secretary at a law firm in nearby Wilmington, DE. Got married in July 1970 and moved to California where I worked as a secretary in a law firm in Walnut Creek; my daughter Stephanie was born in 1972 in CA; moved back east to southeast PA in the fall of 1972 and my son Mark was born in 1974 in Wilmington, DE. In 1978 I started working as a part-time technical secretary at the University of DE in the Chemical Engineering Dept. Moved to Charlotte, NC in 1984; then to Augusta, GA in 1987. Moved back to Delaware in 1988 and I worked at Columbia Gas System Service Corp. for 5 years. Hill to be exact) because we liked it so much the first time. I worked as a temp for a year and a half and in 1996 landed a job as the assistant to the headmaster at one of the top local private schools, where I remained until Oct. 2008. That was one of the best jobs ever. In 2003, after 33 years of marriage, I found myself once again single and am now living happily ever after in Matthews, NC. I have two absolutely precious grandchildren--Madison and Cameron. A few years ago I discovered ballroom dancing and have been going to dance classes and dances ever since. I'm not in it competitively, just for the great fun, wonderful exercise, and really nice people. Attended the 48th reunion and had a truly fun-filled, memorable time. The profile photo was taken at the Billy Graham Library in the fall of 2010.
