Patricia's Story
Life
Well, were do I start? I guess if you really want to know about me it would take a book to fit it all in. I was born in Ft. Campbell, KY, lived there till I was 5yrs old. Then moved to Glens Falls, NY, lived there till my family moved to Fairbanks, Alaska in October of that same year. Lived there till I was 7 years old moved back to Glens Falls, NY. I am one of 8 children in my family. I went to Big Cross Street School, then onto Glens Falls Jr. High, and then onto Glens Falls Sr. High. Went to ACC for one semester then enter the work force. Lived off and on, at home with my parents and on my own with a few roommates. In 1976 I met my Husband David, we were friends for a year then we start to date. Dave and I dated for 10 years and then we got married. We started out our married life with my sister Tina's children, Angie and Marco we helped her for several years with them. After 2 years of marriage I gave birth to our own Daughter Chelsea, who is 15 now. After a bad fall and life changing injuries and one year out of work, we packed up in 1996...Expand for more
to move here to Florida. I have worked off and on over the last 8 years. We love the weather here but can't say much more about any thing else here. I love spending time with David and Chelsea. Our favorite times are when we can get together with my sister Teresa and her family they live just 6 miles from us. We have a lot of pets and Dave and I raise pedigree rabbits.
School
My favorite teachers at Big Cross were Miss Sally Ball and Mr.Bill Garrow. They loved children and really enjoyed teaching and it showed. Teachers like them are far and few between in todays schools. My favorite teacher in GF Jr High, were Mr.Cashion, Mr.Potter, Mr.Murin, Mrs.Chase, Mr.Bennett (the Social Studies teacher), Mr.Harrington, Mr.Potvin. They all made class fun and you learned a lot from them. At GF Sr High, I just loved Mr.Burger, Mr.Rheem, Jon White, Mr.Dais, Mr.Scolnick, Mr.Guy Davis, Mr.Cubbins. Mr.Burger was one of those rare teachers that enjoyed litature and wanted his student to also. He made books come to life. I loved school and had a great time there.
