Patricia's Story

Life Aloha Everybody. I've been living in NC since july of 08 with my 11 yr old son Kaelon, and my husband of six years, Kurt. We purchased a beautiful brand-new house in the town of Leland. Our cross-country drive from Seattle was spectacular, and we stopped in as many national parks as possible. We saw the Grand Coolee Dam, Devil's Tower, Mt Rushmore, Yellowstone, The Badlands, Little Big Horn, Effigy Mounds, and then stopped overnight in our family farm in PA, and my parents' house in Jersey. Then the next day we scooted down the east coast to NC. Our border collie Reilly was a real trooper- she likes riding in the car, but this trip was a challenge for all of us. But, to catch you old friends up, after high school I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from Rutgers University. manager, as well as having served in the Marine Corps. While married to my first husband for eight years, I lived in southern Cali for five years, and then moved to Oahu, Hawaii for for five more where I gave birth to our son Kaelon. It was so hard being stuck in paradise... ha ha...yeah, we miss it a lot. My new husband Kurt went from 10 years in the Navy to serving in the Coast Guard at present. We got stationed in Seattle for a brief 3 years, which was beautiful, and I worked as an artist and teacher's assistant, and made some amazing friends. Kurt is assigned to a Coast Guard military security unit along the Cape Fear River. Our dog misses chasing bunnies in the park in Seattle... but it's good to be so much closer to family- it was hard only seeing everyone once a year.
