Patricia's Story
Hello to my classmates and especially my former students!
I have spent my career in the Naperville area teaching social studies (U.S. History, American Studies, Government, Psychology, AP U.S. History, American Politics, Geography and World Cultures).
I have also loved my work as a guidance counselor in Naperville and Plainfield. I left Naperville Central to accept a district level administrative position in a nearby district, but found that my true passion was in working directly with students.
As my former students, please know that you were then, now, and will forever be in my heart. You are incredibly special to me, and I love running into you or communicating through Classmates.com. Don't be shy as I would love to hear from you and know what is going on in your life.
I am currently substitute teaching at Naperville Central and hoping to find a position as a tea...Expand for more
cher or counselor. I have never lost my passion for the classroom and for the students I teach or counsel. I have enjoyed attending some of your reunions - it brings the days when I was your class sponsor and we were putting on the Prom or Homecoming dances again (but no Principal there for the entering breathalyzer tests!).
As for my own classmates, I hope you are happy with whatever you're doing, and that your family and friends bring you joy.
I started very late in the child rearing department - my daughter was born 8 days after I turned 40! But what I may lack in speed I make up for in experience and wisdom (that's my story and I'm sticking to it!).
As we all know, live has its challenges,but I try to accept each one with as much grace and humor (especially humor) as possible.
