Hello Classmates!
Remember me, I'm the girl who got married 5 months after graduation. That seems like a lifetime ago. A lot has happened since 1979. I was divorced in 1988. I have a wonderful daughter and two very precious grandsons (age 3 and 1).
As I type this note I realize how life in America has changed over the last 10 days. When hurricane Katrina hit the U.S. on 8/29/05, we had no idea of the devastation that would result. e currently being housed in our city's Fairgrounds Coliseum. Unlike the Tsunami of 2004, this time I felt I had to do more than just give money. It seems that God is calling on each of us to personally invest in the lives of those who are (temporarily) less fortunate.
One day very soon THEY could be the fortunate ones, and YOU could need assistance from them.
As you may have guessed by now I'm a Bible-believing Christian... a follower of Jesus Christ. I hope your faith is strengthened during this season of events, and that your relationship with The Creator becomes a very real part of who you are.
