Patricia's Story
Greetings!
After toiling through a Masters degree and twelve years in the corporate world (healthcare), I made a career change nine years ago to teach high school biology. Anyone remember Mr. Shinseki's chicken experiments? :-) Living in Hawaii served me well; as an "ESL" science teacher, I work with many students from the same cultures I went to school with.
And after 25 years in California (San Diego, L.A. and San Francisco), I moved...Expand for more
to Anchorage, Alaska. Less traffic, cleaner air, beautiful scenery, a lower cost of living, and saner people! <g> And one of my students here is even the son of a Farrington High grad.
I'm still running after all these years. I'm also enjoying hiking, mountain climbing (last climb: Mt. Whitney), cross-country skiing, and seeing as much of the beautiful outdoors as I can.
