Patricia's Story
Hi You know me as Patty Rogers,
I went to Precious Blood Catholic School in Banning, Calif.
I graduated the 8th grade in1975.
My favorite Teacher was Sister JoAnn Ashburn, she was at 8th grade Graduation Ceremony that I invited her to.
I was teachers Pet in 3rd. Grade sister Joann completed her School with my sister (biologically) Rosemary,(sister Maria Rogers)at Mount Saint Mary's College, in Los Angeles.
For XMAS one year I had 13 presents under my Xmas Tree from Sister Joann, that she managed to bring to my home on Xmas Eve without me knowing, and on Xmas all 13 wrapped presents read from: SANTA CLAUS. She took me to the Inland Center Mall, in San Bernardino, Ca, once when we had 1/2 day at school, and my mother let me go with her in the nuns car they drove and got to hang out with her lots of times at the convent. She had given me everything I had seen at the mall that I showed interest in. I will never forget how totally surprised I was and felt it was the Best XMAS I ever Had In My Life. Sis...Expand for more
ter Joann if you are out there I would Be Thrilled To Hear from you!!! I tried to locate you in 1996 and Found out later I was very close to finding you. You had transfered to a new order and continued to be the P.E. Teacher in charge of Sports, just like you were for us in Banning at Precious Blood. Do you remember when I invited to my house because I had to show you the New Mina-Bird,Archibald, that talked? All the Bird would say was: "Are You Sober", I was so embarrassed, and you made me so Happy that Day I could not stop talking about it. You made me a Better Person and gave me self-confidence, and I can list at least 100 more things you and I shared and all you taught me during 3rd Grade thru 8th. I wanted to grow up and be jut like you. Thank You for Being The Roll Model you are and God Bless You !
During Catholic School for many Years my Best Friend was, Tina O'Dell and Angela Adrian. The 3 of us went to Big Bear together for a whole weekend and I have one picture of us sunbathing at a swimming pool in Big Bear,Ca.
