Patricia's Story
After traveling around the country for awhile and teaching math here and there (including one year at Aquinas), I've been living in a beautiful, isolated little town on Maryland's Eastern Shore for more than 20 years.
While being a mostly at home mom, I studied classical voice for ten years, doing some opera and recital work. I can't believe I get paid (however little) to sing and convince others, pre-k to adult, to sing (in my preschool/church/community choir jobs). But, with health insuranc...Expand for more
e and college costs what they are, I'm feeling dragged oh so reluctantly to change careers.
If friends find themselves in the DC/Baltimore/Philly areas and have an extra day (we're about 2 hours from any of those), look me up under E and P Rubin - we'd love to have an excuse to sail or go eat crabs/oysters (depending on the season!)
Update, Summer 2011: About that career change - am graduating from nursing school this December, and my youngest starts college this fall. New adventures ahead!?!
