Patricia's Story
Hi classmates this is Patti Smith more recently known as Patricia Thompson(Tricia.)I am going to catch you up on a bit of my life over the last 49 years. I went to Bowling Green State University after graduating from Glenwood. I became involved in Special Education and took a job as a teacher in Northern California. I lived in Sac. and worked in Placerville. It was during my teaching years with Special Education students and interactions with their families that I decided to go back to graduate school at California State University Sacramento majoring in social work. ame to go skiing at Lake Tahoe and visit his sister and my friend Kaye. Nine months after this visit I married him and Kaye is still a great friend and an awesome sister-in-law. Steve lived in Sierra Vista Az. so I moved their, a small high desert town, for 14 years and I practiced as a psychotherapist. That move was a bit of culture shock for me. My husband retired and started a new job the same year at UCSD in San Diego. In SD I worked as a hospice medical social worker for 12 years and have been retired two years. San Diego has become our home and we plan to stay here. I do plan to attend our 50th year class reunion next September 2016 in Canton and am very excited about seeing many classmates.
