Patricia M.'s Story
After graduation (1965) I joined the working world for awhile. In 1966 I married a GI stationed at Lowery Air Force Base and began a new life as an Air Force dependent. Mostly we were stationed up North at all the SAC (Strategic Air Command) bases due to his career field. (weapon's mechanic) He had four tours of duty in Viet Nam and I came home to stay with my parents during those times. The last tour of duty was Spain. Where we were stationed there for three and a half years. It was a very memorable experience and I am glad that I got to see that little bit of Europe. Sadly, as so many young, first marriages do...ours ended in a divorce.
I moved back to Arvada in the 1970's and still lived there up until nine years ago. After which I moved to Thornton. I still miss Arvada as it has been and always will be a very big part of my life. I have two beautiful girls. My oldest lives in Salt Lake City, Utah and my youngest lives here in Arvada. I have four grand children and one great grand son.
I spent almost thirty years in the banking industry. (primarily the loan end) Now I am retired and just enjoying life.
I currently share my life with my Sphynx kitty. (hairless) She looks just like the statues that were unearthed in the Egyptian tombs of the Pharaohs. Hence the breed name Sphynx, I guess. lol!
I would enjoy hearing from those of you who are still around. Kind of sort of still remember me from high school and would like to touch base and say "Hi". I would love to hear how your life has turned out. It is fun to look back and reminise now that we are among the senior citizens of the world. (aka old farts) I am wondering if there will be a possible fiftieth reunion for us(?) Surely there are still a few of us left to attend? lol!
