Patricia's Story
Graduated from UCF (FTU) with a BS in Computer Science. Worked at Martin Marietta then Naval Training Center in flight simulator research lab. Left government and worked for Systeme Corp. as programmer of banking systems. Married Gary Bond, a Boone grad, in 1984. Got laid off (!) and worked as independent contractor for a while. Went back to Naval Training Center in MIS working for one of my old college professors. Left gov't again to work for former Systeme bosses at their new company, Marketing Profiles, Inc. The best job I ever had! Stayed there a long time. Got an MBA from Rollins College. Had my two boys in 1993 and 1996. Got reorg'd out of that job. But that was okay as I'd ju...Expand for more
st had my second child and I was not too happy with the new management anyway. Took a summer job at the Orlando Museum of Art as an Audio Tour Manager for that special Chinese exhibit they had. What fun! Went back to my career working part-time for Hart-Hanks with others who had lost their jobs the same time as me. That was okay for a while but it just wasn't as important as raising my kids so I quit and never looked back. I'm active at their schools and at church (St. Mary Magdalen in Altamonte Springs). I do several large data entry jobs from the comfort of my own home just because I can. I love our family vacations and living in Maitland and having a child attend WPHS. Life is good!
